Age 65, farm wife, hubby and I had a small dairy farm for about 20 years. Still live on part of it. Sold the other part to a family of human canonballs. Have a dog and 3 cats. All were needing a home. Now have a new henhouse and covered pen, and 14 bantams. Have hatched 20 more this weekend.
Update as of Oct. 06. Now I have 8 EE's , 3 Marans, and a brown leghorn laying, as well as about 10 bantams, an EE roo and a buff Silkie roo in my main pen, and 4 silkie pullets and a roo, in my Silkie pen. One of the silkies has hatched 2 babies, and one has hatched 1. Don't know what I was thinking about, letting them hatch this close to winter.?
